Why "Rampage Ollie"?

I'll let Mom tell ya why I'm Rampage Ollie...

Ollie the dog excitedly sits on destroyed couch.

We had *some* idea of what we were getting into before we picked up Ollie (formerly Oscar). He was the shelter's longest resident and he was at a high risk for being put down because he doesn't like dogs. [1] From the shelter, we went straight to Walmart to pick up some essentials. While Dad (aka Steven) was getting the supplies, I let Ollie out of the car to stretch his legs and go to the bathroom. It was then that I realized how strong he was. He was practically dragging me around the parking lot. Steven came back with the supplies. I was convinced that I needed to start lifting weights. We went to the local walking trail to let him get out more energy. Naturally, there were dogs there. We learned that Ollie really really did not like other dogs. What can ya do though? He's a pretty serious dude, and he does not like to put up with 💩 from anyone.

Time passed and we all got comfortable with each other. When he's not taking life so seriously, his playful nature comes out. That's when we noticed Rampage Ollie. His fav way to rampage is by running laps around the couch. See the video below for evidence of the couch destruction aftermath. He's so proud of himself. He also spends lots of time trying to flush birds out of bushes, [2] and digging holes in the backyard. He will not rest until he sniffs every fallen branch at Lake Herrick or explores every inch of the Sandy Creek parks. Although he's an adventurous ball of energy, he draws the line at water sports. He'd rather dip his belly in the water instead of paddling around.

I don't like people all that much so I feel like him and I are on the same page there.

I don't think he understands the 25% Beagle part of his DNA.
